3-star good rated hotel/guest house, in standard double/twin room, in double room occupancy. This 3-star standard is considered good in Romania, the rooms have en suite bathrooms and many other facilities. For your reference only, please check Sun Garden Salin Hotel in Turda City. Please remember, this is just an example, and not necessarily all the facilities present here will be included in your accommodation
Tour payment & Cancellation
In order to confirm your reservation, You are going to pay a deposit, in most cases 5 % (but we will set the amount according to your group size and any particularities of your tour) of the tour price, and this amount is non-refundable. The rest of the tour price will be paid 30 days before the tour date/departure date, and it is non-refundable. If you will book the tour in the last 30 days up to the tour date, you will pay 100% of the tour price (or as agreed) in advance, and the tour price is non-refundable. The advance payment (deposit) will be charged via bank transfer or card via payment link (PayPal), at our choice (depending on the country of payment). For the rest of the tour price we are going to use, at our choice, the payment method (cash, bank transfer, card payment using PayPal and a payment link, card payment using in-person POS payment or some other options). If you will cancel your tour we will keep the amount you have already paid.

Itinerary - Magical Maramures and Charming Bucovina Tour in 10 Days from Bucharest
Day 1
Bucharest - Turda Salt Mine - 423 km
Our tour starts in the morning and we head north toward Turda. Lunch time near Sibiu. After lunch we will continue our journey to Turda where is our accommodation. After the check-in at your hotel you will have free time.
Day 2
Turda - Breb Village - 195 km
After our lazy breakfast we will visit one of the most impressive undergrounds on Earth, Turda Salt Mine. Back on the road to Breb Village and we will stop for lunch (and maybe for some other attraction, if possible/desired) on the way. After our accommodation check-in you will have free time to explore the village.
Day 3
Breb - Merry Cemetery - Breb - 90 km
After breakfast we will visit more of Breb Village. We could visit a local household where the family will show us some of the most original rural tools and technologies as the "washing machine" or the way they produce the local brandy named horinca. Next will be a car ride to the Merry Cemetery which is unique due to the colourful headstones and humorous epitaphs. For today we will try to arrange either lunch or dinner in a traditional household. Overnight in Breb Village.
Day 4
Breb - Viseul de Sus (Mocanita) - Manastirea Barsana - Breb - 128 km
In the morning we will leave for Viseul de Sus for a fascinating tour with Mocanita, the steam train. On our way back to Breb Village we will have lunch and we could visit some more of the local attractions (if desired). Overnight in Breb Village.
Day 5
Breb - Fundu Moldovei - 182 km
After breakfast we will leave Breb in Maramures for Fundu Moldovei village in Bucovina. On our way we will visit more of the local attractions. Once arrived we will have a traditional dinner in Bucovina. Overnight in Fundu Moldovei.
Day 6
Fundu Moldovei - Moldovita Monastery - Mocanita Hutulca - Fundu Moldovei - 80 km
Today we will explore as much as possible from the attractions in Fundu Moldovei and the surroundings. We will visit one of the most beautiful painted churches in Moldovita Monastery - UNESCO. Then let's immerse ourselves in time on a steam train ride by Mocanita Hutulca.
Day 7
Fundu Moldovei - Voronet - Gura Humorului - Targu Neamt, Piatra Neamt - 153 km
After breakfast we will discover more of the famous monasteries in Bucovina, Voronet and Gura Humorului - UNESCO. Next will be Neamt Fortess and accommodation in Piatra Neamt.
Day 8
Piatra Neamt - The Red Lake - Bicaz Gorge - Tusnad Baths - 175 km
After a short stop at the Red Lake we will be amazed by the breathtaking view of Bicaz Gorge. The day will end in a nice spa resort in Tusnad Baths. Overnight here.
Day 9
Tusnad Baths - Bran - Brasov - 129 km
After breakfast we will get ourselves ready to explore the famous Bran Castle in Transylvania. Then will be Brasov Old Town and accommodation around.
Day 10
Brasov - Sinaia - Bucharest - 184 km
The last day of our tour will start late, after a lazy breakfast. Today it's about Peles Castle and Sinaia Mountain Resort. After a lovely afternoon in Sinaia, we will leave for Bucharest.

For private tours - by request and only if possible - we could skip (ongoing) some of the tour components in order to have more time for others. Also, we could have a different tour configuration, based on a prior request (the tour price might be different in this case).
The order of visiting the places can be changed before or during the tour, at our sole discretion
Good things to know before you book this Magical Maramures and Charming Bucovina Tour in 10 Days from Bucharest
- This tour includes components that are not suitable for persons having walking disabilities (especially Bran Castle involves climbing stairs). Therefore, please contact us and we will try to offer the best option to you.
- Between 1st of September 2023 and 14th of April 2024 Peles Castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and therefore we stop and visit only the exterior part and the gardens. For all the rest of the year Peles Castle is closed on Mondays.
- Due to the traffic conditions or other reasons we cannot guarantee the return hour or the total number of hours agreed for this tour.
- During weekend time and official holidays, usually the traffic level is higher and our tour could last more hours than specified.
