This Bucharest to Danube Delta tour is an in-depth and unique experience.

The Danube Delta is the most complex ecosystem in Europe and the third in the world. It is like a paradise for wetland wildlife. Here one could discover the largest common pelican colony outside Africa. The Danube Delta becomes a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991.

In 4 days we have 3 boat rides, we visit fisherman villages, try the local cuisine, we do a short "safari" in Letea Forest - a paradise in the heart of the Danube Delta, we visit Sulina - the city where the Danube River meets the Black Sea and we hope to spot the famous wild horses of the Danube Delta.

Our first option for this tour is Delta Boutique & Carmen Silva Resort in Crisan (a 5-star hotel, in standard double/twin room, in double room occupancy). If unavailable or for other reaseons, we will book another hotel, in similar price range

Tour payment & Cancellation
In order to confirm your reservation, You are going to pay a deposit, in most cases 30 % (but we will set the amount according to your group size and any particularities of your tour) of the tour price, and this amount is non-refundable. The rest of the tour price will be paid 30 days before the tour date/departure date, and it is non-refundable. If you will book the tour in the last 30 days up to the tour date, you will pay 100% of the tour price (or as agreed) in advance, and the tour price is non-refundable. The advance payment (deposit) will be charged via bank transfer or card via payment link (PayPal), at our choice (depending on the country of payment). For the rest of the tour price we are going to use, at our choice, the payment method (cash, bank transfer, card payment using PayPal and a payment link, card payment using in-person POS payment or some other options). If you will cancel your tour we will keep the amount you have already paid.

Itinerary - for Danube Delta Wildlife Private Tour in 4 Days - from Bucharest

Day 1

Bucharest - Tulcea - Crisan 281 km + 28 nm

Our tour starts in the morning and we head east, towards Tulcea. We abandon the car there and from now on we use boats, we are in the Danube Delta. We reach Crisan Village, and this will be our base, from here we explore the Danube Delta. Here a fisherman's lunch waits for us. You will have some free time and in the evening we leave on a boat ride, to discover the surroundings and maybe enjoy the sunset.

Day 2

Crisan - Mila 23 - Crisan - 16 nm

After breakfast, you do the first Danube Delta "expedition", to Mila 23, a remote and charming fisherman's village. On the way, local tour guide will show you the the Danube Delta flora and fauna. You will also enjoy a local lunch in Mila 23. Then back to Crisan, for a lazy evening.

Day 3

Crisan - Letea - Sulina - Crisan - 38 nm

After breakfast, another adventure. Today you go deeper in the Danube Delta. If the weather is fine, you will enjoy the subtropical forest of Letea, where with a little bit of luck you could spot some of the famous wild horses of the Danube Delta. After a traditional lunch in Letea village you will continue the journey to Sulina. Sulina is the city where the Danube River meets the Black. You have here about 1h30min to explore around. The long but beautiful day ends in Crisan village.

Day 4

Crisan - Tulcea - Bucharest - 28 nm + 281 km

After breakfast and a very lazy morning, we start our boat transfer to Tulcea, where the car waits, then drive back to Bucharest.

Our tour to Danube Delta ends in Bucharest after a beautiful 4-day tour.

For private tours - by request and only if possible - we could skip (ongoing) some of the tour components in order to have more time for others. Also, we could have a different tour configuration, based on a prior request (the tour price might be different in this case).

The order of visiting the places can be changed before or during the tour, at our sole discretion
