Itinerary - Bucharest to Slanic Prahova Salt Mine Day Trip by Eddie
Our tour starts in the morning and we head north, from Bucharest to Slanic Prahova Salt Mine.
First and main stop is for "Unirea Salt Mine" in Slanic Prahova.
After spending about 2 hours inside the salt mine we could have lunch near by, or you could decide to do something else.
Next you could decide to visit or not The Salt Museum. By prior request and for an extra fee, we could visit some other place.
Our tour ends in Bucharest after a full beautiful day.
For private tours - by request and only if possible - we could skip (ongoing) some of the tour components in order to have more time for others. Also, we could have a different tour configuration, based on a prior request (the tour price might be different in this case).
The order of visiting the places can be changed before or during the tour, at our sole discretion
Good things to know before you book this Bucharest to Salt Mine Trip
- Prahova Salt Mine is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
- This tour includes components that are not suitable for persons having walking disabilities or health problems.
The temperature inside the mine is around 12 degrees Celsius so please wear appropriate clothing!
Due to the height difference of 208 meters between the underground and the surface, the atmospheric pressure in the mine has higher values than on the surface. Caution for hypertensive people, if you don't feel well, don't enter the mine!
The access route goes through galleries with a reduced section. Attention those with claustrophobia! If you have a panic attack, urgently ask to come out to the surface!
On the access roads there are small bumps (thresholds), slippery surfaces that can cause falls due to imbalance, obstruction, sliding, there may be slopes/ramps with a high inclination. Please walk carefully!
Do not smoke or use an open flame underground!
The access to the underground with alcoholic beverages or under their influence is prohibited!
- Due to the traffic conditions or other reasons we cannot guarantee the return hour or the total number of hours agreed for this tour.
- During weekend time and official holidays, usually the traffic level is higher and our tour could last more hours than specified.
- We reserve the right to refuse or unilaterally cancel any tour/service/product you want to book or you booked with us, for any reason. You will be notified via your email address/phone number regarding this issue at least 24 hours before your tour date or as soon as possible. In this case you may ask us to try to change the desired tour date or to change the tour, if possible. If you did pay any amount of money for the refused/cancelled service, and you are not interested in changing your tour date or your tour, you will be refunded. We are not liable for any losses or expenses caused by the issues above.
